Outreach

One of my goals is to make my science matter and achieve change by informing the public, policy, and decision-makers. I strive to continuously improve my science communication skills and share my science with non-science audience as often as I can.

A passion of mine is to distill enthusiasm about science in the “next generation”. For example, I participate in the Letters to a Pre-Scientist Program. The mission of Letters to a Pre-Scientist is to inspire and empower middle school students from under-resourced communities to pursue careers in science and technology. Check out this storify featuring scientists supporting LPS and #actuallivingscientist on twitter.
